Izabela Maria Sufa

Poland-born Izabela Maria Sufa says “writing in a foreign language is like walking on broken glass. You can’t trust any word you choose as all of them are borrowed.” Nevertheless, she takes the risk. Her literary referents are Josif Brodski, Rainer Maria Rilke, and Wisława Szymborska: it’s clear that it all starts with poetry.

Based in Barcelona since 2004, she published several short stories in Spanish literary magazines and is currently working on releasing her bold and very feminine short story collection called “Little poisons”.
